Maybe because Alan correctly thought it a post worthy item and had not seen it posted. I, for one, had not seen it at all, and thank Alan, as I consider it yet another reminder of things that have slipped into the aeronautical rearview mirror of time, in my lifetime. Like the radio range, space shuttle, almost the NDB, and folks capable of civil discourse with others, even when they don't agree. And since I have been known to post nuggets over a year old, and probably will again, I gleefully anticipate my ride in Stella's wood chipper! Happy New Year!
