I flew Spirit from MCO-IAH last year on a personal trip. I used a friend's points he'd received in a promotion. It felt like riding a subway or city bus with ads plastered all over the place. My seat was fairly uncomfortable, as in it didn't feel like there was much cushioning. By the time I felt like I needed to get up, we were on approach. Same on the return segment. All told, I didn't have a bad experience. If I need to travel to IAH again, and I know I want to, I wouldn't have a problem traveling on Spirit.
