FED EX oldest DC10-30F to be scrapped

fedex will be retiring th grand three holler DC10-30 which is at the age of 45 years old this DC10 has served a long haed life with a few different carriers and was once the most advanced aircraft in the world in it's era back in the early seventies. N565FE served with American airlines PAN AM Northwest and then UAL until she was retired from passenger service the aircraft will be retired from August this year and flown to KVCV for the chop sad to here but that is great for a aircraft… (www.usatoday.com) More...

I here there are a few going to the grave yards soon some at 42 years old still flying about KLAX/KORD

Article no longer on USA Today... Wonder why they took it down... The plane still flying after 45 years is quite an achievement... I bet the 380's won't last that long. They certainly do no make them like they used too.
