I don't think the X-37b itself does much of the spying. Sure it conducts tests of new systems and probably has one hell of a camera but I imagine its primary use is as a mothership to launch, service, and recover micro and nano satellites that do most the spying. While the X-37b can be tracked and countries close up clandestine operations when its overhead, the multitude of tiny satellites can monitor 24/7.

I don't know about the trolls and, of course, the secrecy but this is an incredible feat that a layman like myself loves to follow. Jingoism aside since the X-1 days, these projects promote STEM for the kids too.

What is the aircraft in the background at the 39 second point of the landing video. Looks like a shuttle but not??
