Russia lands world's biggest supersonic nuclear bomber at SA's Waterkloof AFB.

After a non stop flight of 13 hours from Russia, two Tu-160s as part of an historic visit by the Russian Air Force made an extremely noisy arrival in Pretoria. These planes made unusual level landings, unlike the Concorde that had to dip it's nose for the pilots to see the runway. With Pretoria being surrounded by densely populated suburbs, most citizens were awaken during it's very noisy departure at 3:00 the following morning. (www.traveller24.com) More...
