He must have been living under a rock since 9/11, or never set foot in an airport before. Gee, I wonder why all those people are waiting in line?

Sorry, but had the TSA officer NOT left his post, this all never would have happened.

They're throwing this guy under the bus to save face in light of their own screw up.

The bus you speak of is the one that most of us ride, and not jump in front of.

The person who did this has been identified, and was arrested at his home in New Jersey on Friday evening.

In the military we called, what the TSA agent did, leaving a post. This should be a crime punishable in some fashion more than a bad boy letter in his file.

He was arrested by the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey; that is the police agency that has jurisdiction over all the transportation hubs in the area: JFK, LGA, Newark, etc., etc. You will recall that on 9/11 large number of Port Authority police lost their lives, since the World Trade Center include train stations such as the PATH, they were on duty in their jurisdiction. God rest their souls, and thank them for their service and their sacrifice.
