Wow. I guess they don't make explosions like they used to. The pic of the phone lying on the carpet shows what appears to be an intact phone.

Gee it said handset must have been the wrong picture, LOL, first time I have ever heard of one being called that.

It's a British newspaper article and in the UK the term handset can refer to any portable phone device
