Used all the money collected for carry-on to bribe the court?

There's an old saying, "You get what you pay for." You have to expect these kinds of charges from Ryan. If you buy a ticket on a Ryan flight, and I took many trips on Ryan when I was stationed in Germany, then you've chosen to face these problems. Is flying on Ryan pleasant? Of course not, but I can't complain about the cost of my ticket.

Exactly so: If you go cheap, expect cheap. The Spanish have a saying, "the cheap comes-out expensive".
