A four-month-old Caribbean startup airline, Arajet, has recorded a breathtaking 80,000 passengers over its first few months of operations. The airline has now become the largest airline operating out of the Dominican Republic. Numbers going strong The airline said that it closed 2022 with 81,000 passengers across its entire network between September 15th and December 31st last year. Some hype here. Claim of " breathtaking 80,000 passengers " from mid-Sept to Dec. 31 ??
Check the math : 80,000 passengers / 105 days equals 761 average passengers per day.

Assume a modest passenger count of 125 per flight segment, would translate to about 6 flight segments per day. Basically this is a startup airline operating a handful of narrow-body jets.
