But before the flight did Spirit define what mask was acceptable? If their policy stated face coverings then he was complaint. I know Delta has said which actual mask you cannot wear.

I loved the 727 as a ramp agent. We could load that aircraft full of bags, mail, and freight and it would hold weight with no issues.

It was about getting the aircraft in the air and doing the minimum cleaning. One of two things are going to happen now. One the turn time will be greater so the cabin cleaning team can accomplish these new standards. Two the cabin cleaning company will put extra cleaners on board to accomplish these task so the turn time does not change. My bet is option 2 will happen once normal flying returns but some airlines are not going to want to pay for the extra cleaners.

It does but if the main deck had freight (containers or pallets)on it the steps would not be accessible.

It doesn't appear there was a slide deployed from the video. It would be bright yellow and easy to see. There are no steps for the crew to use to exit either. I guess they figured it was best to get out quickly since they could not set the brakes.

The guy has no clue how the industry works. You are dead on about the suppliers suffering because any debt owed to them will be tied up in court. The airlines work with companies that are not huge companies and even a $20k invoice will greatly affect the company. He needs to focus on what the textbook he is teaching from says and let the professionals run the industry. Maybe he was the only one the Post could get to make those statements.

The mess with the Atlanta City Hall is forcing the state to try and do something to ensure new businesses will still come to GA. The current mayor inherited a big mess and is trying to clean it up but a shovel wont do it. She needs a monster excavator with what was dumped in her lap. It may be to late though.

There would not be a pilot in the aircraft under tow like this one. Most airlines that use the tug like this have trained ground staff in the cockpit a brake rider. That person monitors the APU and will set the aircraft brakes upon arrival at its gate, remote pad or tech ops. I did this job for many years and was fortunate enough to not be part of an incident. It's hard to tell from the video but a couple of questions would be: 1- Was the A321 parked in the proper spot on what looks like a remote pad or gate? 2- Was the tug driver on the centerline due to the aircraft that had pushed from the other gate. The speed that someone mentioned is not as fast as it appears and it can be deceiving Stopping the tug with a half million pound aircraft behind is not like stopping your truck or car with a trailer. It does not stop on dime despite having the brakes pressed to the floor.

If global emissions and climate change are more important than your job then maybe you should resign so the next in line can upgrade or come off reserve. You can then join their movement. You implied that you were on reserve recently when you did the research. Then you stated you have not been in a while so your data is old and therefore may no longer be accurate. Your livelihood depends on airplanes and the aviation is easy to pick on. How about the governments who are complaining but yet ride in entourages with multiple large SUVs? They are more at fault that the aviation industry. So the questions begs, if your livelihood depends on airplanes then why not defend the steps the airlines and manufactures are making towards reducing emissions instead of agreeing with people who truly only want to point at one very small part?
