Although this is not the first B777 to visit Reno, it IS the first one I've caught here. I had attempted to get snaps of it the previous day when this same aircraft had arrived in the midafternoon with the first group of Marines, but a large vehicle accident on I-80 east of Reno had closed the highway; thus denying me my opportunity to get some daylight clicks. So in order to capture it during this second visit, I had to roust out of a warm bed at 3:10 AM. I was in position with a thermos of hot coffee on RNO's east perimeter by 4:45 AM (temp. 08 degrees F) and successfully captured it landing and being parked at Atlantic. Then I waited to obtain more pics of it here as it taxied out and took off (it was just starting to snow and the temperature had gone up to 10 F by this time). So .... mission accomplished (grin).
