1937 Lockheed 10A 'Electra' Restoration
A four-year restoration project of a 1937 Lockheed 10A “Electra” is nearly complete. The aircraft is a sister to the Lockheed Model 10 Electra flown by Amelia Earhart in 1937 when she disappeared over the central Pacific Ocean. (aviationweek.com) More...Sort type: [Top] [Newest]
I'd definitely love to see a picture taken of this with Amelia Rose Earhart in the same position as Amelia Mary Earhart. It would be so serendipitous.
Two fully restored examples are in Canada. CF-TCA is in Ottawa at the Aviation museum and CF-TCC is in Winnipeg at the Western Aviation museum. TCC is currently not available for viewing. But, hopefully she will be seen soon. Both aircraft are in Trans Canada Airlines livery.
