Laser beams pose danger in the air
New Delhi - While approaching runway 29 of Indira Gandhi International Airport on Saturday night, the pilot of a Pune-Delhi Vistara flight reported distraction in vision. Around 10pm, the pilot of the UK 922 flight told Air Traffic Control that a green laser light approximately 6 nautical miles away from his location had caused the distraction.Following this, Airport Operation Control Centre informed airport operator DIAL. Thanks, I'm not sure about incredible, professional is more to point. While true that I have not flown professionally for a few years, the passion is very much still there. If I may, call the authorities and report , but I woild advise against taking the law into your own hands, too many things can go wrong. I recall a while back a bystander stepped into the middle of a shooting only to be mistaken for the real culprit and some good citizen shot him!
