American Airlines looks to pay pilots more
American Airlines decided to raise wages for their pilots in light of pending Labor Agreements (www.dallasnews.com) More...Sort type: [Top] [Newest]
And in the mean time, they treat the employees at American Eagle/Envoy like crap.
Lots of good friends down there, But Eagle is on the way out. The current thinking on the ground is all contract and scope although they seemed to have backed away on the size thing. It looks like they tried more pax but got held back. I wonder if this is an olive branch in order to have labor peace as they try to get the merger together?
Crappy people+Crappy service+Crappy planes=Crappy pay
And lets don't forget the crappy paint job. Everything except the 787 could have gone polished aluminum and they haven't even gotten those yet. Lot's of wasted money and extra weight too that could have went for other things, like salaries and in house hub/spoke flying rather than contract. Looks like they would have felt a hip movement paying off Horton but they don't seem to have flinched and I guess he is gone or at least in the background. All you hear is Douggie Boy. He may actually be easier to get along with than Horton. Time will tell. I am not a fan of his but there can only be 1 boss, so we'll see.
Where do you work Andrew? Can I say all the people at your work place, including you, are crappy? If not, then why are you saying it about someone else you don't even know?
I'm just saying it from a passengers perspective, by no means am I saying everything about Eagle is crappy. I have a good friend who flys for Eagle out of ORD. Most regional carriers are pretty crappy.......deal with it
You really can't blame the Eagle/Envoy guys/gals to have the world's best attitude after all they have been thru in the last couple of years. To go from home owned and part of the mainline to seeing jobs go away as contract came on stronger and more to come and that equates to lower wages, crappier working conditions and a take it or leave it attitude from the Regional Airlines management. On top of all that, to know that Eagle will go completely away before long doesn't help anything. It must be noted on this most recent labor off from AAG, that was all mainline and nothing for the regional. Go get 'em Douggie Boy
Deal with it? You are an arse!
I could be wrong but I bet if you dig deep, your Eagle friend out of ORD is contract with a Regional and not Eagle direct. I could be wrong but I thought that everything Eagle had been contracted except DFW.
