Iran Air retires last remaining pax B747-200

Iran Air (IR, Tehran Mehrabad) has retired its last remaining B747-200B from active commercial service Iranian news sources have reported. Originally delivered to Lufthansa (LH, Frankfurt Int'l) in 1982 as D-ABYX, B747-200(M) EP-IAI (msn 22670) conducted its last commercial flight on Saturday, May 8 following which it was parked at Tehran Imam Khomeini. Sad to see the old Jumbo jet go or be scrapped mind you they haul many miles cargo or frieght and pax in there time with many carriers

Yes many at sitting derelict in the desert floors awaiting there fate or a home to go too sad to see that happen
