US Air Force finalizes plans to upgrade Offutt AFB's Crumbling Runway

Offutt AFB In Bellevue, NE, is the home of Strategic Air Command (STRATCOM) and home of the 55th Wing of the Air Combat Command. However, the base's runway was built in 1941, and with over 70 years of nearly no repair, is recognized as the worst runway of any in the Air Combat Command, putting the 55th Wing's base at Offutt in jeopardy.
