I am US Airways Chairman Frequent Flyer and have been flying West to East coast every week for years and have had to fly United and US Air both for my travel. With the United Continental merger I experienced very bad customer service as a result of that merger. While I realize that airlines have no choice but to merge for economic reasons - especially in the economy today - I hope this merger doesn't drive away US Air's loyal frequent flyers at the cost of an un-popular merger. I do see many positives from this union in expanded flight routes and new hubs for US Air. I hope that US Air and the old America West folks don't get lost in this deal - like what happened to the Continental folks with United.
