Airline rewards staff with a bonus worth more than $7,000 after posting a record profit—and even its customers can cash in

This is a completely unbalanced article. There's no mention of the trouble Qantas is in for using dodgy IR practices to underpay many of its workers, nor the fact that the ACCC is suing Qantas for selling tickets to cancelled flights and not advising customers of a cancellation to their flight for over 24 hours. Qantas had a time limit for customers to use cancelled flight credits but on hearing of the suit, Qantas suddenly extended its cancelled flight credits indefinitely... This story appears to ignore any problems faced by Qantas, and there are many.
Most expensive airline in Australia to fly with. handing our bonuses when they are holding millions in customers' money that they have not refunded.
This company received thousands of tax payers dollars to keep them a float during COVID and has refused to pay back one single cent of the tax payers money. It is about time that the current federal government got some balls and made this happen. It is time that someone here needs jail time for ripping customers off.
Actually it was closer to 1.8 billion!
A cut and paste job from a Qantas PR release - a company desperately trying to resurrect its terrible reputation in its home market
Wow, whoever authorised this should check their sources. QANTAS is has arse-hole management and is on the nose in Oz.
