American Airlines Flight AAL997 scheduled to leave Dallas for South America Sept. 21 at 7:30 pm CDT was diverted back to Dallas and safely landed about 12:19 am CDT. The emergency return was apparently due to loss of cabin pressure. (www.breakingnews.com) More...

Four hours out and it returns to DFW? There is a maint facility in Miami, which it would have overflown to return.
