There is a lot of pro and con here about who is right and who is wrong, BUT, in my opinion the F35 is the biggest hunk of junk to come along in years and to try and pretend to be something its not. It's way to expensive already, and not near finished so no one is sure of an exact price yet. As long as it has taken to shake down the F22, it has just seen it's first taste of combat in the last few months. I think it is time to scrap this thing, lick our wounds and try again on something. We have air superiority over any country in the world with what we have and will have for years. Nobody can afford this thing. Why should we.
Israel is already head and shoulders above its neighbors air wise. Their only BIG mission is when they take out Iran's neuc plants, and I'll bet that mission is already signed and sealed.
The comments are somewhat more interesting than the article. Against which threat vector is stealth required? PLO, Hamas, Iran?
