Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner (C-FSBV)

Mark.........excellent shot . Where is your vantage point and what lens are you using ?
I am mostly on Caravelle and use a 70-200 .

Hi Peter, both this and the Plus Ultra A340 were taken as they were on short finals for runway 23. Here they are both about to cross Airport Road and drop down behind the fence for touch down. Just north of the Petro Canada station there’s a 3 story parking garage (which you can no longer drive into) and next to that a grass mound. That mound is just high enough to allow you to shoot the aircraft without the adjacent building in your shot. Venture up to the top of the parking structure and you’ll have unobstructed view down 23. I use a 70-200 but on my crop-sensor body I can’t quite squeeze a 777-300 into the frame so I settle for these 3/4 shots! There’s room to back up for the longer planes. When I had my 100-400 I used to get nice touchdown shots on 23.
