In my view, as a civilian non flier, this plane ranks right up there with the P 47 as the toughest, meanest support/attack aircraft ever!!
I am hooked on the Republic aircraft for some reason. Maybe it is the Gatling gun some of these aircraft have. My aircraft of interest is the F-105 which I worked on at Kadena in 1970-1971. So seeing these Wart Hogs is always fun for me.
Got to see them in operation in BOI while waiting for a flight. Even my wife thinks they are cool.
