Lockheed L-1011 TriStar (ZD950) - This rare visitor to DIA, a RAF tanker, diverted here after being unable to retract its refueling lines. After landing safely in a thunderstorm, the lines were pulled in. Rescue units at DIA were originally told that there was a fire on board with fuel leaking. It dumped most of its fuel before landing. The two RAF Tornados flying with it landed at Buckley AFB nearby.
