Beautiful Capture

Used to love seeing these when I visited my son, who lived next door to Travis AFB. The C-17's bigger brother.

When the US Air Forces was still at Rhein-Main-Air-Base in Frankfurt these big boys allways flew over our house in Wiesbaden after take off. A lot of people complained about the noise, but I miss them.

I fondly remember my flight out of Travis AFB aboard a C5A while I was escorting my classified equipment to Kaneohe Bay MCAS for Development Testing prior to Desert Storm. My "stuff" was the only thing aboard. Got to sit in the cockpit and hang with the flight crew. Same on the return a month later.
