When I started at Northwest Airlines in October 1951 in dispatch, there were two routes employing the DC-3. On was from Chicago to Winnipeg, The Yon Kippur Clipper(Jewish fur buyers), and the other from MSP to SEA, The Vomit Comet. Crew change was at Billings. They were 21-passenger planes, max take-off weight 25,000 pounds. They replaced the Martin 202 that had replaced them earlier.
