Happy memories. I used to love flying on these Western 727s from YVR to LAX back in the day

Agreed. I used to fly on Lufthansa 727's, mostly between Frankfurt and Naples, Italy. My hometown at the time, Heidelberg, had a 727 with the city's name and symbol of Heidelberg. I flew on this particular 727 three times.

PSA SJC to BUR or LAX in the 70s. Was in one struck by lightning in cloud outbound from SJC somewhere near Gilroy (I saw the strike). Suffice to say flying through the Thunderstorm was bumpy. Always a fast trip though. Always fun, even the "cattle car" boarding.

This is a very beautiful picture! Back in the 1970s, I remember going to the Minneapolis-St. Paul international airport and seeing many Western airplanes. The 727 has always been one of my all-time favorite plants! Thank you for the picture!!

I'm not sure I ever flew this plane, but NWA/Delta inherited some of these. The 3-holer was my all time favorite plane to fly even though I flew some of the "electro" airplanes too. The three-holers were rugged!

It was a great plane! Eastern’s 727s were nice!

Thank you for your kind comments! I started with WAL in 1976, then to DAL commuting from SEA to ATL. Having a photography business at the same time with the NFL, MLB, PGA, etc. I finally retired! But still cannot put the camera down! I REALLY THANK All YOU!
