Per Cirium: This 1990 Reims-Cessna F406 Caravan II (VH-EYQ) was destroyed by impact and post impact fire when it crashed while apparently on final approach to Runway 14 at Oakey Airport, Oakey, Queensland on July 20, 2025, killing the two people on board. The point of impact was in rolling pasture land, more or less on the extended centerline of the runway but some 2.6km from the airfield. During its approach, the speed of the aircraft seemed to decay and appears to have entered a sudden tight left turn, lost height and crashed. The accident happened in daylight (1459L). The aircraft was reportedly operating a flight from Warwick, Queensland to Archerfield Airport, Brisbane but, earlier in the week, had carried out survey work in an area northwest of Oakey.
