Boeing RC-135 (61-2670) - A rare sighting: United States Open Skies Treaty OC-135B 61-2670 of the 45th Reconnaissance Squadron flying as OSY12T over YOW on 29 Mar 19.  Aircraft was returning to Offutt AFB after completing an airborne surveillance mission over the Russian Far East in February and March under the auspices of the 1992 Open Skies Treaty.  Yes, those are classic TF-33 engines.br /br /The aircraft was a modified WC-135B re-configured for "Open Skies Observation" in 1996.   It was one of three OC-135s that flew unarmed observation flights over participating parties of the treaty.  It was withdrawn from service and is now stored at Davis Monthan AFB as of June 2021 with more than 36,500 flight hours.
