This one's fat modern turbofans don't suit its simple elegant slenderness, and yet it's STILL one of the best-looking jet airliners ever.

Modern engines would make this puppy a UFO at a distance!! DC8s are easily identified by the Four black lines behind them!!

I agree with all of the comments. The DC-8 was one of the best looking jets to have flown in or capture on the camera. Another special treat these days, over Iowa, is spotting the 4 line contrails. Its a rare sight to spot as well as that of our USAF C5's flying from Dover to Calif.
