Didn't this develop from Piper's T-tailed Lance program? I remember observing a flight test near Lakeland FL when Piper was first developing the T-tail Lance. Pilot stalled the plane to spin entry. I believe cg was configured well aft of datum and it basically lost airflow over the elevator. Almost right away (2 turns or so)the spin went flat and the a/c did not respond favorably to any attempt at recovery. The spin chute failed and the pilot bailed. He was not injured, but of course the a/c was a total loss.
