Even as N107PT swept past, the lights on the Grand Sierra Resort (on the diamond-shaped grids under those GSR signs) came on for the evening. Had they clicked on a mere fifteen seconds earlier I could have caught them illuminated in this pic, but as can be seen here, a cool shot like that was not in the cards for me on this day.

Nice pic of AC and the Reno Grand Sierra Hotel. Marvelous architecture, that was always Barron Hilton’s favorite property, even after change of ownership. A very stupid and uninformed pit boss demanded ID when Barron asked for more chips. That blew any chance of this regaining Hilton status. At the time the GSR new Owners (PPoor businessmen that they were), were desperate to sell the property. They had gotten involved in a convoluted money losing scheme.
