Boeing 737-200 (N703S) - Tucking the wheels in the wells after taking off from Reno Tahoe International, this Sierra Pacific B732 (N703S), one-half of SPAs two aircraft fleet, rockets skyward with the Sierra Nevada range in the background. Note those two awesome old P&W JT8s with the clamshell reversers. I absolutely love it when one of Sierra Pacs two B732s makes a visit here. Catching them landing is always a treat (Ive just posted another shot of this one landing only a few feet away with those cool clamshell thrust reversers deployed), but the REAL thrill is when they takeoff as seen here. The unique whine as it accelerates on its "D" roll and the fighter-jet style crackle of those Pratts at full thrust as it blazes by and away is pure music in the air.
