BOEING 767-400 (N845MH) - This capture of Deltas N845MH, a B764, was clicked last year and only a few weeks before it was repainted into the BCRF (Breast Cancer Research Foundation) special livery that it now presently wears. I am pleased that I was able to catch a snap set of this one in this scheme prior to the repaint, but I like the current clothing much more.

This capture of Delta's N845MH, a B764, was clicked last year and only a few weeks before it was repainted into the BCRF (Breast Cancer Research Foundation) special livery that it now presently wears. I am pleased that I was able to catch a snap set of this one in this scheme prior to the repaint, but I like the current clothing much more.

It was here as a charter to pick up a few hundred US Marines who had just finished up a grueling 4+ weeks of summer desert/mountain combat training. When it was time to board, they were all instructed to get all their gear and baggage and file out along Charlie taxiway to this aircraft. As the hundreds of Marines began moving out, I heard one man make a comment ... and I heard another man call out a reply. It was a totally memorable moment: I'll never forget it. As they were passing by below my location, each man and woman hauling two very heavy bags AND their weapon, one troop looked up, saw this big B764 out in front of them, and called out, "Hey, it's PINK!" And from somewhere in the midst of the line, another voice yelled back, "I don't give a flippin' _____ if it's pink, purple, or sh__-a__ BROWN; all I care about is does the d___ thing FLY and does the pilot know the _____n' way to Cherry!" (The flight was taking the Marines back to Cherry Point.) And the next instant there was a fabulously loud - and SIMULTANEOUS - response from a large number of the troops. It was wonderful! Right at that instant, I remembering thinking to myself "I wish I'd been shooting a vid instead of shooting snaps ..."
