Due to strong winds coming out of the west at speeds between 20 to 28 knots and with frequent sudden gusts as high as 38 knots (and one was recorded at 42 knots), most of the small GA aircraft elected to takeoff and land into the wind on Runway 25. The pilots of this MedFlight quickly agreed to use 25 when the tower operator suggested it.
