Embraer EMB-145XR (N12195) - A "Wayback Machine" pic from 2008, this click captured N12195, wholly owned and flown at that time by the independent airline ExpressJet, with thrust reversers deployed as it begins to decelerate after landing on RNO's runway 16L.br /N12195 is still flying today, but it has changed hands. Today, it is part of the CommutAir (UCA) fleet and flies wearing United Express paint.br /As for ExpressJet Airlines, it, too, has undergone change since this photo was taken. In 2010, two years after this shot, Atlantic Southeast Airlines acquired ExpressJet Airlines. Per the results of an employee vote, the new airline retained the Atlantic Southeast callsign, "Acey," but decided to drop the Atlantic Southeast airline name and use ExpressJet instead (similar to the way US Airways acquired American Airlines and then decided to use the American Airlines name even though it was US Airways that had absorbed American).br /For a bit more of an explanation describing the original ExpressJet livery seen here, see COMMENTS below.

N12195 is still flying today, but it has changed hands. Today, it is part of the CommutAir (UCA) fleet and flies wearing United Express paint.
As for ExpressJet Airlines, it, too, has undergone change since this photo was taken. In 2010, two years after this shot, Atlantic Southeast Airlines acquired ExpressJet Airlines. Per the results of an employee vote, the new airline retained the Atlantic Southeast callsign, "Acey," but decided to drop the Atlantic Southeast airline name and use ExpressJet instead (similar to the way US Airways acquired American Airlines and then decided to use the American Airlines name even though it was US Airways that had absorbed American).

This is the first, and thus far only, photo in the FA gallery that shows N12195 in ExpressJet's own (ie: original) orange and green livery scheme, which was the paint being used by ExpressJet when it was an independent airline. Also, when this picture was taken, some of the routes being flown by ExpressJet were the airline's own point-to-point service routes, and Reno was one of the cities included on ExpressJet's independent service route map. Two years later, by the close of 2010, the colorful livery seen here had disappeared from northern Nevada skies because ExpressJet, in its original "form," had ceased to exist; although the airline's name, "ExpressJet," was carried forward and still exists today. Sometime in the last six months of 2010 or the first few months of 2011, the Embraer CRJ-145XR shown in my photo above (N12195) was repainted and was wearing United Express garb. Today, even tho it is now on UCA's equipment roster instead of ASQ's, it is still wears United Express clothing.
