Whats "high speed" in a J3? 45kts?

The only difference between a high speed and low speed pass is the sound of the engine

Beautiful background & setting for this J-3, great composition.

The speed factor reminds me of a flight I made in a DeHaviland U-6 Beaver from the U. S. Naval Test Pilot School around 1975. Had to stop at an Air Force base in South Carolina for fuel and was picked up by a controller who was working me to a landing on radar. After he'd been directing me for maybe five minutes, he said, "Navy AB123, come left heading 115 for vectors to helipad number 3..." I had to advise him that, in spite of my 67 knots, I wasn't a rotary-wing aircraft.
Very nice picture of this J3!
