Paul Miller, there is. There were three of the OzJet 737-200s parked here at Perth when the airline went under in late 2009. One was purchased by a local TAFE and made the short 4 minute flight from Perth (YPPH) to Jandakot (YPJT) where it’s being used to train a range of Aviation courses from ground operations to cabin crew and even engineering. As for the other two still at Perth (YPPH) they were shuffled around the airport several times as they were taking up valuable parking bays. They were finally parked up on this gravel patch hidden away from the view of the general public. They were more or less “owned” by the bank at this stage and after several attempts to sell them they had no luck. So over the next 8 or so years their parking costs owed to the airport became more then the aircrafts value. So it was rumoured that they were to be scrapped. But then luckily enough someone put in an offer to purchase the two in late 2018/early 2019. They have plans to dismantle them both and transport them by road to White Gum Air Park (YWGM) approx 120km from Perth. They plan to turn one of them into an “Air BnB” style accomodation and the other into an exhibition for people to look at. They have already moved one and begun reassembling it. Not sure how long until the second one will make the move. For more information on their plans, check out their website at: www.737-200.com.au

I remember OzJet but didn't know anything about them. Were they always US registered or is the reg because of a hoped for sale or bank ownership or something else?

I was in Perth a month ago and i caught a glimpse of the remaining OZ jet its tail was missing so it looks as though it also is on the way out ( i would add the picture but can't here}
