I've seen these types of photos of the osprey and often times the tips of the blades are green. What causes that?

Taylor, that is static discharge also known as St. Elmo's Fire.

Did a little research, the Ospreys actually have LEDs on the blade tips to enhance formation flying and ground ops visibility.
