Only pity is that I couldn't get a sunny side shot because I reckon this was one of the prettiest liveries at the time but it loses in the shade.

Speaking of parades, it is apparent that you had a parade of Dc-10s and tri-holers visiting your turf in this time period. How wonderful to have had the opportunities to see and snap all these different tris dressed in a variety of airline paint. Every photo here is five star plus. (A High 5 to you)

Thank you Gary. Never saw an L1011 though:( Back in those days I used to get over to Melbourne either a few times a year or travel via Melbourne on my way to and/or from a Queensland island. (Was on my own in those days, not that that is a problem now anyway). Back then, Tullamarine had large observation decks with an outlook over virtually all of the parking aprons. These days it's all enclosed glass and with so many more fingers, getting pics from inside is difficult. Alas, 9/11 accounted for open areas.
