The next day an airshow was conducted at the base but I was able to get out there on Saturday and this flew a couple of sorties. This aircraft was originally built for Qantas in 1968 and flew with them as VH-EAI. It was sold to British Caledonian December 1975 as G-BDLM, then to Worldways Canada as C-GGAB and was returned to Australia in 1983 for the RAAF as a transport aircraft. It was converted to a tanker in the 1990s and was sold to Omega Aviation in 2011 registered N629RH. It was 'retired and stored' in 2014 but there's a January 2020 photo of it in Omega service so it seems it's out of retirement.
