— — - On Monday, 3/6/2017, severe weather came through the Kansas city, KS and K.C. MO. area, with several tornadoes. The Olathe, Kansas area was hit with straight line winds which hit the Johnson County Executive Airport. It destroyed one hangar and damaged two others. Up to 70 airplanes were damaged, some destroyed. The airport was immediately closed that night and the following day. It finally reopened today, 3/8/17.
