@ Cesar Mattos. Not even close, it's a *C-17* copy with turboprops. I was C-130 aircrew for 6 years. The A-400 had some teething issues, but I think they've ironed those out now, so i have to admit, it's a pretty impressive aircraft, but never having flown on one, or operated the loading and airdrop systems, I couldn't swear to it.

I've always thought that this A-400 looks like a turboprop C-141....

@Cesar Mattos @Jim Quinn All large cargo planes look similar, because form follows function. Was Boeing copying Lockheed when they designed the C-17? What about Antonov? The design is the way it is because it's the most efficient for the use.

C-17 170,900 lbs load M-400 81,000 lbs load . The Airbus even looks smaller.
