TAN SON NHUT AIR BASE, SAIGON, VIETNAM APRIL 1966 ATTACK ON THE base and the RF-4C squadron. Attack was at night and this photo was late the next afternoon as one of the guys puts his head up through a direct hit on the wing to show the size of the hole.

Sam: I just stumbled onto your folder when I saw this pic and I must say that this one along with the others are all awesome 5* shots. Definitely keep posting these old photos if you have more because it's so nice to get away from all the 737s and A320s once and a while to take a trip back and see what aviation used to be like. As I've mentioned to Gary S. before when he has posted some of his old pics from this same time period is- I wasn't even born until 30 years after this photo was taken so the only way I can experience what aviation was like during this era is through these old photos and I really do appreciate being able to view them. Thank you for sharing these ones, keep up the great work and I look forward to seeing more of these old pictures soon!
Thank you Mark for the kind words.
