Douglas DC-3 (N32PB) - A disc and wobble check in progress on a Pratt and Whitney R-1830. The guys working the lower cylinders got dripped on and had to cover up as much as possible... :) Provincetown Boston Airlines HYA MX 1983 Photo credit to Steve Collins- PBA Avionics, who appropriated my camera from my toolbox and snapped this picture.

Just a great rare impromptu MX scene on a round engine. 5 stars for Dave...and Steve Collins! Cheers!!

Pretty intuitive to me, jobeard. Pistons arrranged in a CIRCLE around a common shaft= ROUND. Pistons opposing each other in pairs along a flat plane= FLAT. Been an aviation nerd for many DECADES!
