McDonnell Douglas F-4 Phantom 2 (15-3030) - This F-4N now rests aboard the USS Midway museum in San Diego. This Spook is dual painted, one side representing VF-21 which recorded two MiG kills while operating off the USS Midway in 1965 (as well as a third unconfirmed kill), the other side (pictured) VF-161 which recorded five MiG kills between 1972 and 1973. The five kill marks on the splitter plate represent the kills the squadron made, not this specific aircraft. Fantastic museum, if youre ever in SD go!
