US Air Force closer to requesting bids to replace older 747 presidential jets

The Boeing VC-25 is the official military designation of the jet that carries the President. We know it as a 747, and Air Force One when the President is on board. These aircraft are expected to be replaced as they have become less cost-effective to operate. The USAF Air Mobility Command is looking into possible replacements. (airguideonline.com) More...
