Should Kids Be Banned From Business Class?

Interesting story. I'd venture a guess and say that most of the parents were fairly young as well, so you can't blame the kids for not doing what they have never been taught. Today's young folks seem to be living from hand to mouth, devil may care about tomorrow. Respect, manners and common sense/decency are out the window, even if they were raised right.
Wayne...I agree this is normally a parent problem, not a kid problem, something which is a daily observation in my practice. Frankly, I would rather fly with my grandkids, 8 & 6 who each have flowing transoceanic and trans continental since birth than many of the louts who currently live "up front". Well prepared parents are engaged with their kids, they come equipped with appropriate diversions, videos with earpieces, snacks and comfort appliances (teddy bears, blankets, etc.). My ninth law: wimpy parents have wimpy, bratty kids.

My advice? Talk with your wallet. Fly coach until they clean things up in BC. It's not worth the enormous premium they are charging you.
