Qantas CEO promises "very luxurious" Boeing 787-9 configuration

Qantas CEO says very long-range flights mean the airline's 787-9 will be a premium-heavy config, almost half the seats in business class or premium economy, while even the 3-3-3 economy seats "will have some very good seat pitch... given the the lengths we’ll be flying." (www.ausbt.com.au) More...

But what about the seat width. 3-3-3 is a nightmare in B787.

Yes, a prime example of bean counters hurting a fine aircraft, and the reason why I just booked a flight with an old KLM B744 instead of a new Kenya Airways B787 coming home from Nairobi.
