Amazon moves into 737 freighter operations under lease with Atlas Air

Amazon.com, Inc. has agreed to a seven-year lease of five Boeing 737-800BCFs from Atlas Air Worldwide Holdings, Inc. in order to diversify aircraft operations and go into markets that are too small for the 767s. The converted 737-800s will be subleased to and operated by Southern Air, a subsidiary of Atlas Air. (www.freightwaves.com) More...
