F/A-18 Super Hornet Crash in Death Valley

An F/A-18E Super Hornet has crashed near Naval Air Weapons Station, China Lake, California, the Navy said Wednesday. The fighter, from Strike Fighter Squadron (VFA) 151 at Naval Air Station Lemoore, crashed north of the base at approximately 10 a.m. local time, Lt. Cmdr. Lydia Bock, spokeswoman for the Strike Fighter Wing told Military.com. A search-and-rescue unit from China Lake has been dispatched to find the pilot, she said. (www.military.com) More...
